Welcome to Games Athlete, Mandi Janowitz

Welcome our guest coach, Mandi Janowitz!

Ahwatukee CrossFit is fortunate to add three time CrossFit Games athlete, Mandi Janowitz, to our coaching staff for the next three months!  Unfortunately, Gail is taking some time away from coaching to focus on her family and the busy-ness she has going on in her life.  But, as luck would have it, along came Mandi to fill in for Gail and take a few other classes.  Things really do happen for a reason. She will be regularly coaching Monday’s 9am & evening classes; a lot of the Weds. evening classes and filling in for other classes when needed.  Mandi certainly brings awesome energy and experience coupled with a passion for healthy living to our CrossFit Box! Be sure to give her a warm welcome and stop into one of her classes while she is with us.

Here’s Mandi’s howdy to us:

Hey Ahwatukee beasts!  First off, I want to thank you all so much for welcoming me into your community, even if for a short few months! I’m excited to meet you all and do what I can to share my knowledge and passion for health and fitness! Here’s a brief background…

Graduated college at ISU in Sport and Recreational Management. Fortunately, I was able to compete on the Track and Field team there as a Heptathlete.  Afterwards I felt the necessity to push my passion for competing to the ultimate and compete in Ironmans.  I found Crossfit in 2012, went to the CrossFit Games in 2013 team, 2014 individual, 2015 team.  Hoping to make it back in 2017!! Consequently, that’s why Im here training under the best coach I know, August Schmidt at East Valley CrossFit!  I have two adorable and obnoxious little pups Addie and Josephine who keep me busy outside coaching and training.  Coffee runs thick in my veins and my favorite food is Thai!
I cant wait to be your coach and hope to see you soon!!mandi-profile-pic
